About Us
Seattle-based restaurant Xiao Chi Jie started with a circle of tight-knit friends. The idea for XCJ sprang from the founders’ recognition that when people in the U.S. think about Chinese food.
XCJ then opened in 2018 specializing in sheng jian bao (pan-fried soup dumplings) and other specialties, with the mission of sharing honest representations of Chinese street food; opening minds and palates to new and exciting flavors, textures and aromas; and carving out a space in the culinary landscape for innovative and best-in-class Chinese food.
Now, XCJ offers delivery of a full, restaurant-quality experience — soup dumplings, sauces, and bamboo steamers — direct-to-consumer nationwide, and they have shipped over 4 million dumplings to homes across the country.
